Chestertons continues international expansion with new office in Spain

Chestertons is strengthening its network of Spanish offices and has announced a new associate in Barcelona at a time when the country’s real estate market is improving.

Originally established as Kolesny Realty, the new company Chestertons Catalunya is situated in one of the city's most prestigious streets Passeig de Gracia.

Its portfolio of properties ranges from charming apartments to multi-million Euro grand estates in the city of Barcelona, and surrounding regions encompassing Sitges, Maresme, Costa Brava and Ibiza.

Services include residential and commercial sales, lettings, property management and refurbishment. With the international buyer in mind, the team also offers assistance to foreign buyers with airport transfers and familiarisation tours.

‘We are well established locally with a good client base but now want to take advantage of the influence and resources that Chestertons' large global network offers. We want to take the business to the next level and make Catalunya visible and accessible to the entire world,’ said Ronei Kolesny, chief executive officer of Chestertons Catalunya.

Robert Bartlett, Group chief executive officer of Chestertons, said it fits with the firm’s international expansion. ‘There has been a resurgence in the Barcelona property market in the last two years and the city, with its cosmopolitan vibe and magnificent architecture, has a lot of appeal for UK and international buyers,’ he explained.

‘As a Chestertons office, selling properties across the region, it complements our existing offices in Marbella and Sotogrande. We continue to expand our business into broader global markets. Establishing the brand in Barcelona was an obvious part of that expansion strategy for us,’ he added.
