How can RationalFX save me money?
RationalFX is an Independent commercial foreign exchange provider. This means that we buy the currency in bulk from the market at "wholesale rates" and then pass on the price benefit to our clients. This could mean a saving from a hundred to several thousand pounds (depending on the amount you purchase). RationalFX provides you foreign exchange at "commercial rates" as opposed to "tourist rates" that you get from your high street banks.
How much does it cost?
It's free to open an account with us and there is no added cost. Further, if you are transferring £5000 or more then there is no telegraphic transfer fee (normal fee £15).
How do I get started and what do I do?
It's as easy as A, B, C
A – All you have to do is fill out our online registration form or download the form (in pdf format), print it, fill it in and send it back to us by post, fax or email, together with the following:
– A copy of your passport or driving licence
– A copy of your bank statement or recent utility bill
Once we receive all the completed documents we can set up your account on the same day. You will also be assigned to a dedicated dealer who can explain the process in jargon free plain English. If you need any help or guidance in filling in the registration form or submitting the documents please do give us a call on 0207 404 7477.
B – Once you are registered you will get excellent exchange rates, better than the high street banks, which can be guaranteed for up to two years ahead. You will also be able to make free international money transfers for amounts over £5,000 or equivalent.
C – We will transfer your currency to any destination in the world.
How do I settle my account?
There are a few ways in which you can settle the account depending on your time frame.
CHAPS – this is when you will instruct your bank to transfer the money to us. It is the quickest way and normally means your funds will be cleared within 24 hours.
BACS – this is also when you instruct your bank, however the bank will not charge you to transfer money this way and takes three working days to clear in our account. If you transfer the money using telephone or internet banking, it is also classed as a BACS transfer.
Banker's Draft or Building Society Cheque – This method takes six working days to clear. You must make sure that we receive your draft or cheque within 48 hours. We are also unable to accept personal cheques.
None of the payments will be accepted if they are from a third party.
