Miller Homes Southern has been granted planning permission to build 110 energy-efficient homes at its new Oakley Grange development in Hampshire.
Located on Station Road in Oakley, the 9.72 hectare site will deliver a selection of energy efficient one to five bedroom homes, including 44 affordable homes.
Once voted the ‘happiest village in Britain’, Oakley has much to offer its residents with Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, picturesque villages, nature reserves and the well-known Wayfarers Walk all on its doorstep. Boasting 5,280sq.m of green space including kickabout and informal play space, Oakley Grange is the ideal choice for a range of buyers including families or those looking to get on the property ladder and purchase their first home.
Whilst the development is perfectly situated to allow residents to enjoy village life, house buyers can also greatly benefit from transport links to larger towns including Basingstoke, which is just under five miles away, and Andover, both of which are major rail stops. As part of the Section 106 (S106) agreement Miller Homes will make a £151,000 contribution to enhance the local infrastructure including traffic, environmental and pedestrian enhancements. As well as this, a contribution of circa. £2million will be made as part of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). Katrina Crawford, sales and marketing director at Miller Homes Southern, said: “We are really pleased to have been given the go ahead for planning for this exciting new neighbourhood. Oakley Grange has much to offer potential residents and we are excited to see the development take shape over the coming months. “As well as building beautiful homes, we are committed to increasing employment opportunities for people in the local area and we are pleased to announce that this development will create a number of new jobs as well as apprenticeship opportunities.”
