Strutt & Parker has established a broker-led operation in London, combining employed brokers with its existing office network across prime central and outer London locations. The initiative follows capital investment from parent company BNP Paribas in 2024.
The firm has recruited several brokers since September 2025 to join a team led by Claire Reynolds, UK Head of Sales. New appointments include Andrew Chambers, Toby Downes, Minnie Stainrod and Zach Madison, who join existing brokers Charles Medina, Hugh Ball and Sarah James. James Gow, previously head of London sales and head of sales at the Kensington office, has also joined the broker division.
Operational structure
The broker network operates alongside Strutt & Parker’s established London offices in Notting Hill, Kensington, Fulham, Chelsea SW10, Chelsea SW3, South Kensington, Knightsbridge and Belgravia. The team sits within the Private Client department and covers both sales and lettings.
Unlike traditional broker models where agents operate independently, Strutt & Parker’s brokers are employed directly on permanent contracts and work in coordination with office-based teams. The structure is designed to provide an alternative career progression for senior agents outside traditional branch management roles.
Industry context
The move reflects broader changes in London’s residential property sector, where firms are adapting operational models to retain senior talent and compete in prime markets. The broker-office hybrid approach differs from both purely office-based agencies and standalone broker operations that have gained prominence in recent years.
Reynolds joined Strutt & Parker in summer 2024. Managing director Gary Higgins noted her experience in both corporate estate agency management and broker-only models informed the strategic approach.
The firm indicated further appointments are scheduled throughout 2026 as part of ongoing expansion plans, though specific numbers were not disclosed.
