Lomond expands into Liverpool with Homesure acquisition

Lomond has acquired Liverpool-based lettings and estate agency Homesure for an undisclosed fee.

Homesure manages over 1,700 properties across Liverpool, while it has three city location and 30 members of staff.

Under Lomond’s ownership, Homesure will continue to operate under its existing brand, becoming the new regional hub in Liverpool, with oversight from Paul Clarke, Lomond’s chief revenue officer for the Midlands and the North West.

Clarke said: “Lomond’s model of identifying exceptional businesses and preserving what makes them unique, while providing powerful behind-the-scenes support and additional benefits to staff and clients, will be showcased perfectly through Homesure. I’m excited to see the team continue to thrive as part of the Group.”

Founded in 2007 by Steven Kenny, Homesure grew steadily under the leadership of Kenny, Nick Stott, and Mark Loughnane, expanding organically and through five acquisitions since 2016. Stott and Loughnane are remaining in place.

Homesure specialises in supporting overseas investors who want to invest in Liverpool or the surrounding regions.

Loughnane reassured that “Homesure is still Homesure”, while Stott added that clients will benefit from “enhanced support and an expanded range of services”.

Ed Phillips, group chief executive of Lomond said: “Liverpool is a strategically important market for Lomond, and Homesure is exactly the kind of business we look to partner with.”
