Midlands-based auction house Bond Wolfe is recruiting for a valuer position that will include appearing on property television programmes, with a starting salary of £40,000 plus performance-related bonuses.
The firm, which works with programmes including Homes Under the Hammer to source properties for filming, has advertised the Birmingham-based role combining traditional auction valuation duties with media appearances and promotional activities.
Role requirements
The position encompasses property valuations, viewings, and business development alongside participation in filming days for television productions and Bond Wolfe’s social media content. The successful candidate will support the company’s seven annual livestreamed auctions.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with bid applications, supporting marketing activities, and attending industry networking events. Applicants must hold a full, clean UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
According to Aimee Scott, associate director and head of HR at Bond Wolfe, the firm is targeting candidates currently working as auction valuers, estate agents, sales negotiators or in similar client-facing property roles.
“We are looking for someone who currently works as an auction valuer, estate agent, sales negotiator or similar client-facing property role who thrives on winning instructions, building strong client relationships and closing deals,” Scott said.
Industry context
The role represents a hybrid position within the property auction sector, combining operational valuation work with public-facing media duties. Such positions have become more common as auction houses seek to raise their profiles through television appearances and digital content.
Applications for the position are being accepted through Indeed’s recruitment platform.
