Campions Group completes five acquisitions in five weeks

Campions Group has acquired two additional estate agencies in South London, bringing its total number of acquisitions to five in just over a month as the group continues its expansion across the capital and towards Kent.

The latest purchases comprise Drewery, an 80-year-old agency in Sidcup, and CKB Estate Agents, which operates branches in Sydenham and Eltham. Both firms provide sales and lettings services and will retain their existing brand names following the transactions.

Expansion strategy

The acquisitions follow Campions’ recent purchase of Battersea & Nine Elms Estates and form part of a broader strategy to acquire independent agencies across London and the South East. The deals extend the group’s footprint across South London and towards the Kent border.

The consolidation activity comes as the property sector sees increased financing activity for UK property assets, with lenders supporting expansion and acquisition strategies across the market.

Richard Davies, director of UK operations at Campions, said the acquired agencies share “strong local roots, trusted reputations and a genuine commitment to service.”

Davies added that the acquisitions “strengthen our presence across South London, extend our reach towards Kent and create significant opportunities for future growth.”

Market context

The rapid succession of acquisitions reflects broader consolidation trends in the estate agency sector, where larger groups have been acquiring independent firms to expand their geographic coverage and service offerings. While tenant concerns over compliance issues continue to shape the lettings market, established local agencies with long-standing community ties remain attractive acquisition targets.

Drewery has operated in Sidcup for more than 80 years, whilst CKB Estate Agents has maintained an established presence in Sydenham and Eltham. The group stated that incoming agencies would receive operational support whilst continuing to serve their local markets.
