Estate agency consolidator Dwelly has acquired Paramount Properties, a London-based estate and lettings agency, marking its tenth acquisition in 2026 as the company continues its expansion across the UK market.
The transaction adds approximately 1,100 fully managed properties to Dwelly’s network, bringing its total portfolio to more than 15,000 properties under management. The acquisition represents another entry point into the London market for Dwelly, following previous purchases of Eden Harper, Settio and Shaws in Kensington.
Established London presence
Paramount Properties has operated from West End Lane in West Hampstead since 1989. The agency employs 30 staff providing residential sales services across North West London and lettings throughout the capital, with property management operations covering more than 80 London postcodes.
Managing director Spencer Lawrence, who is co-selling the business, will remain in his position following the transaction and continue to lead operations.
The deal follows nine previous acquisitions by Dwelly in 2026, with recent activity showing increased focus on London-based businesses. The company’s acquisition strategy involves retaining local brands, teams and management structures whilst introducing its technology and operational infrastructure across property management, maintenance, compliance and communications.
Sector consolidation continues
Sam Humphreys, Head of M&A at Dwelly, said the company reached ten acquisitions in 2026 because it “remains hugely confident in the long-term future of the lettings sector”. He stated the approach focuses on acquiring established agencies with strong local reputations rather than adding scale for its own sake.
The consolidation trend in the estate agency sector has seen significant investment in technology platforms as larger groups seek operational efficiencies. Dwelly’s model aims to provide investment and technology to improve back-office efficiency whilst allowing agents to focus on client relationships.
Spencer Lawrence, managing director of Paramount, said the business has evolved significantly since he joined in 1998 but maintained its focus on long-term client relationships. He cited the additional investment, technology and support available through Dwelly as providing opportunity for further growth.
The acquisition activity comes as the lettings sector faces ongoing regulatory changes and compliance requirements, factors which have contributed to consolidation as smaller independent agencies seek backing from larger groups with greater resources.
