Grant J Bates Property has appointed Anthony Hughes as Head of Lettings as the London-based agency expands its rental operations.
Hughes joins from Hamptons, where he held the position of Associate Director. He brings over ten years of property market experience to the role.
Agency performance
The agency, which launched in 2025, reports it has sold 50 properties at 36% above guide price. The firm currently maintains a portfolio of over 90 properties, both on and off market, supported by a team of 11 brokers.
Hughes stated: “Grant’s reputation in the market is genuinely world class. His standards, integrity and results speak for themselves. Together, we’re building what we believe will be London’s most premium lettings service, combining deep market knowledge with a highly personal, concierge-style approach.”
Market conditions
According to the agency, demand exists among clients and tenants seeking personalised service in the London lettings market. The firm reports strong activity across prime and super-prime properties at the start of the year.
Hughes noted: “The London lettings market has started the year positively, with strong activity across both prime and super-prime homes. Quality stock is in demand, and tenants are moving decisively when properties are priced correctly and presented to a high standard.”
In his new role, Hughes will focus on advising landlords through ongoing legislative changes while developing long-term client relationships. The agency states it will utilise its social media reach to market properties to international tenants.
