147 new homes coming soon to Houlton

Housebuilder Mulberry Homes has been granted planning permission to build 147 new homes near its head office, as part of the brand-new development in Houlton, Rugby.

Mulberry Homes’ development, called Mulberry Homes at Houlton, will be situated on Houlton Way, a new link road built by Urban&Civic to connect Houlton to Rugby Town.

The development will consist of a stunning range of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, just under two miles away from Mulberry Homes’ head office in Rugby and nine miles away from its Kingsbury Park development in Lutterworth.

The first release of properties are anticipated to be available for sale in winter 2022, and will include a wide variety of house styles, which are more than ideal for first-time buyers, working professionals, growing families and downsizers alike.

Mulberry Homes at Houlton is part of the large-scale Houlton development, which is being delivered by Urban&Civic in partnership with Aviva Investors. The site is home to expansive green infrastructure, with over 500 acres of natural outdoor space, a network of cycleways, walkways and nature trails, wildflower and mature trees, and ecological habitats.

Construction work on Mulberry Homes at Houlton is expected to commence this summer. In spring 2023, the housebuilder will be opening the doors to the development’s showhomes, for interested property seekers to tour.

Kerry Jones, Sales and Marketing Director at Mulberry Homes, said: “We’re thrilled to have been granted planning permission to bring 147 brand-new homes to Houlton, and to be building on an exciting development in a popular area.

“Mulberry Homes at Houlton forms an integral part of our growth plans, and we’re delighted to be furthering our investment in Warwickshire.”

Houlton is a new neighbourhood just minutes from Rugby and a growing, diverse and welcoming community, with a range of resident events, community initiatives and activities for all ages throughout the year.

The development is home to a host of first-class amenities, including the award-winning eatery The Tuning Fork, community centre The Barn, an adventure play park, St Gabriel’s CofE Primary Academy, Houlton School, a nursery, and a Co-op convenience store. In the future, it will offer a further two primary schools and many more amenities.

Houlton is ideally located with excellent transport links, with easy access to Birmingham and London, and Rugby town centre via Houlton’s purpose-built link road, Houlton Way.
