Plans for 31 residential units and three commercial units in Birmingham have been submitted by developer Sama Investment Group.
If the plans are accepted, the mixed-use regeneration scheme will transform a vacant brownfield site to deliver a new residential community on the corner of Highgate Road, Ladypool Road, and Stratford Road.
It will be called Highgate Corner, while it will sit north of the Balti Triangle, an area known for having a cluster of Indian Balti restaurants in the area.
Bilal Ahmed, executive chairman & founder at Sama Investments, said: “I am excited that we have submitted plans for our Ladypool Road development.
“It could be a fantastic project on a popular street within Birmingham’s famous Balti Triangle area and one that we would be extremely proud of. It would see us transform a brownfield site to deliver much-needed new homes as well as local growth and prosperity.
“Ladypool Road could form a key part of our exciting development pipeline for 2025 as we continue to deliver high-quality places for people to live. This is another example of our ambition to deliver for the city.”
The scheme, which includes rooftop gardens for the residents, has been designed by ADG Architects.
Alongside the new homes, the project, known as the Ladypool Road development, could provide opportunities for independent shops, cafes, or restaurant as part of a vibrant and active street level.
The apartments and commercial units are already available for sale.
