360 New Homes in London

Building work at a new homes development in Nine Elms is progressing well, with nearly 75 per cent of apartments now built.

Bellway London is building 360 homes at Lexington Gardens at The Residence, off Ponton Road, where 234 apartments – including 98 affordable homes available for local people through rent or shared ownership – are now complete.

Work is underway on the two remaining apartment blocks – the Senate and Kennedy buildings – to deliver the remaining 126 homes, with construction set to end early next year.

A total of 262 apartments at the development are being sold privately, with 136 of these homes now fully built and 127 of those homes sold. Out of the remaining 126 homes left to be built, 83 remain for sale.

Lexington Gardens at The Residence will form part of the 874 homes delivered by Bellway in Nine Elms, following the housebuilder’s flagship development, The Residence.

Around 20,000 new homes are being delivered across the fast-transforming district as part of a wider regeneration scheme, aided by £15 billion investment in the area.

Emma Hamlett, Sales Director for Bellway London, said: “With residents now getting settled into their new homes at Lexington Gardens, we are edging closer to completing construction work and moving towards selling the remaining apartments at this sought-after development.

“Buyers have been attracted to Lexington Gardens as the area is currently undergoing a major regeneration programme, which includes the brand-new Northern Line Extension providing better connections from Nine Elms and Battersea Power Station into central London.

“The development itself benefits from its own gym, media lounge, concierge service, roof gardens and podium level gardens that will suit all buyers. Just outside the development, there are a wide range of amenities including small independent shops, coffee bars and convenience stores.

“Bearing in mind how quickly homes at The Residence were snapped up, as well as the first phase of homes at Lexington Gardens, interested buyers would be well advised to contact our sales team as soon as possible to view the development’s show apartments and fully appreciate the quality of the homes being built here.”

A range of two and three-bedroom apartments are still available to reserve at Lexington Gardens, with prices starting from £745,000.
