50 New Homes Coming to Hamstreet, Ashford

Dandara has recently acquired a new site in Hamstreet, Ashford, which will house it’s new The Pippins development. Coming in May 2022, the development will provide new three, four and five-bedroom family homes just off Warehorne Road, within walking distance from Ham Street Station.

The site is set across 9.2 acres of land, and will deliver 50 new homes, of which 20 will be affordable. Alongside this, the housebuilder will be creating a new footpath and road to give residents access to Warehorne Road, as well as a footpath and cyclepath to facilitate access onto Ashford Road to the benefit of the local community.

The homes are built with energy efficiency in mind, with insulated external doors to reduce heat loss, the latest highest efficiency boiler installed to help manage consumption levels, low heat-loss hot water cylinders ensuring water stays hotter for longer, energy efficient light bulbs where possible, as well as kitchens and bathrooms designed with water saving features and fittings. Thanks to these features, the homes are expected to achieve an B EPC rating, which will be welcome news to prospective buyers given a recent survey showing that a good EPC rating is one of the most desirable aspects of a new home.*

Louise Norman, Associate Sales and Marketing Director at Dandara South East, commented: “The Pippins is set in a brilliant location, offering the very best of village life whilst maintaining access to Kent towns and the capital, and is bringing much-needed quality new homes to the area. It’s no surprise that energy efficiency is at the forefront of prospective buyers minds, and our new homes will meet buyers requirements in this area helping to save money amidst the cost of living crisis. We look forward to starting on site/launching from-plan in Winter 22 and have already had enquiries from a range of first time buyers, investors and downsizers”

All homes will benefit from spacious, and airy open-plan living that maximises the natural light, as well as fully fitted and integrated kitchens and contemporary bathrooms.

The Pippins is situated near the village centre, offering quick access to local supermarkets, as well as independent restaurants and pubs. For young families, the Hamstreet Primary Academy is within walking distance. Residents benefit from living close to nature, with Orlestone Forest and Hamstreet Woods National Nature Reserve on your doorstep – perfect for long countryside walks. The village’s thriving sport and leisure scene, centred around the Hamstreet Sports Pavillion and Victory Hall, offers a variety of indoor activities for all to enjoy.

The new development will be set in the quiet Hamstreet village, but within easy reach of Ashford and the rest of Kent and the South East via M20. Hamstreet Station offers regular services to Ashford International, with connections to London St Pancras, Eurostar, and Eastbourne.
