Agent provides videos as alternative to property viewings

Estate agent Mullucks has created videos so people can view properties online.

The videos have been created by the agent’s creative media producer Jesse Todd (pictured), who has been with Mullucks for over a year.

Daniel Galati, managing director of Mullucks, said: “These videos are a key part of our marketing and provide an insight into what each property is really like, that photos alone cannot provide.

“When people have got time on their hands, property can be a fantastic distraction. We know this not only from the viewing figures on our website and portals like Rightmove every Boxing Day, but also at lunchtimes, evenings and weekends.

“However, the unprecedented and difficult times that we are currently going through also provide people with an opportunity to sort out their plans for the future. In the last couple of weeks, we have seen a huge spike in the levels of our social media interaction, because we are sharing content about our wider community too.

“Depending on how the coronavirus situation develops, we’ll be following government advice, but hope to be filming more of these videos later this year.”

The videos, which last from one-and-a-half to two-and-a-half minutes depending on the size of property filmed, have a turnaround time from as little as 48 hours, and get on average between 5,000 and 10,000 views each.

Todd said: “Essentially, we see these videos as a way people can immerse themselves in the properties on offer and get a better idea of the space available and how individual rooms work together.

“For properties with land, we often use a drone to get the sort of perspective that you simply can’t get at ground level.”
