A UK-based proptech firm has launched an artificial intelligence-powered platform designed to assist landlords with legal compliance as the first phase of the Renters’ Rights Act comes into effect in May.
Rent Fix Legals, founded in 2025, has released RentFix.ai, a system that generates, reviews and manages tenancy agreements in accordance with upcoming legislative changes, including the abolition of Section 21 no-fault evictions, revised possession grounds and updated housing standards.
Technical specifications
The platform utilises Anthropic’s Claude AI model and has been trained on more than 100,000 UK legal documents. According to the company, the system delivers 99.7% accuracy and automatically updates when legislation or case law changes.
A company spokesperson told MSN News: “Landlords face an increasingly complex legal landscape following the abolition of Section 21, new possession grounds, updated Decent Homes Standards, Awaab’s Law requirements, rent increase restrictions, and more.”
The spokesperson stated that processes which previously required days or weeks and cost hundreds of pounds per document can now be completed in minutes at reduced cost.
Platform functionality
The system’s capabilities include checking agreements for compliance issues, identifying unlawful clauses, generating new contracts and supporting landlords throughout the tenancy lifecycle.
Rent Fix Legals was established by a team comprising property lawyers, technology specialists and AI developers. The platform launches as the private rental sector prepares for significant regulatory changes under the Renters’ Rights Act.
The introduction of AI-powered legal tools represents a growing trend in property technology, as compliance requirements increase for landlords operating in the UK rental market.
