Avant Homes granted planning to build £57m, 167 home development in Robroyston, Glasgow

Avant Homes will deliver 167 homes at a new £57m development in Robroyston, Glasgow, after receiving planning approval from Glasgow City Council.

The 17-acre site is located just off Daffodil Place, which the housebuilder purchased in February 2022.

Called Darach Fields, the new development will comprise a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes and feature 12 of Avant Homes’ design-led house types.

Initial groundworks at the development have now commenced with the showhomes to follow in March next year. The first homes at Darach Fields are set to be ready for occupation in spring 2023. Prices start from around £232,000 for a two-bedroom property.

As well as providing much-needed new-build homes, Avant Homes will also contribute more than £1.67m to community growth.

Avant Homes Scotland area director, Iain Innes said: “Over the past decade, Robroyston has seen extensive development to transform the area, which has led to increased demand for high-quality, new-build housing.

“We’re pleased that we have moved our plans forward to continue the development of the town and look forward to launching our new homes in due course.”

The new development is situated just four miles from Glasgow city centre, while on the doorstep of Robroyston Park, the site is also well connected to major commuter routes.

Based in Stirling, Avant Homes Scotland is part of the Avant Homes group, one of the leading private developers of residential property in the UK.

The group currently has 57 developments across its five operating regions, seven of which are under construction in Scotland ranging from Stewarton to Dundee.
