Countryside has promoted Mike Woolliscroft to chief executive of the developer’s partnerships south division.

Woolliscroft will oversee the division, which specialises in regeneration of public sector land in London and the home counties, delivering private and affordable homes by partnering with local authorities and housing associations.

Currently the division is delivering regeneration projects including Acton Gardens in West London, Beam Park in Barking & Dagenham and Rochester Riverside in Kent.

Iain McPherson, group chief executive, Countryside, said: “I am delighted that Mike has accepted this role and is testament to his achievements in building and rapidly expanding the West London region during his tenure.

“Mike brings to the role an in-depth understanding of the industry and is committed to delivering best-in-class developments by adopting a community-based approach which delivers long-term economic benefit and social value.

“Under his leadership, I have no doubt that he will further deliver on the industry-leading performance seen to date.”

Woolliscroft joined the business in April 2014 to establish and lead the West London region of the partnerships south division.

In his role as managing director for the region, he has already been responsible for several major mixed-use developments and strategic partnerships including Acton Gardens – the 52-acre regeneration scheme of the former South Acton estate.
