Crest Nicholson launches new development in Ipswich, Suffolk

Crest Nicholson has launched a traditional mix of 130 two to five bedroom homes at Henley Gate, its new development in IpswichSuffolk. Situated on the northern edge of town, Henley Gate is the first of three neighbourhoods that will form the Ipswich Garden Suburb (IGS).

Once the masterplan is complete, Henley Gate will comprise 1,100 new homes and include a new state of the art primary school, a 30-hectare country park with over 2.7km of walking and cycling routes, and a local centre at the heart of the development.

Each home at Henley Gate complements the site’s existing character, featuring flexible layouts, with open plan kitchen and dining areas, modern interiors, and high-quality finishes throughout. Every property will also benefit from a private garden for residents to enjoy with friends and family throughout the year.

With a variety of house types available, the development is ideal for young professionals, first time buyers and families alike. The government backed Help to Buy: Equity Loan initiative and Crest Nicholson’s Part Exchange and Deposit Unlock schemes will be available on selected plots to help home hunters secure their dream home.

Karen Coulson, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson Eastern, comments: “We are pleased to have launched this traditional collection of houses at Henley Gate, set to be a modern, thriving community, with first residents expected to move in from next summer. Forming an integral part of Ipswich Garden Suburb, the development will have garden city principles at its core, offering a host of attractive landscapes, public parks and local amenities, including a brand new primary school on its doorstep. We are excited to be launching the show homes next year so that purchasers can get the opportunity to get a feel for the stylish design available.”

Thanks to the development’s prime position, with Ipswich town centre within a 10-minute drive away, residents will be able to make the most of the excellent array of restaurants, high street retailers, and independent stores, as well as a monthly Farmers’ Market. Henley Gate is also perfectly located near the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Natural Beauty, ideal for exploring nature and outdoor activities.

Families are well catered for with a number of schools within easy reach, such as Dale Hall Community Primary School and The Meadows Montessori School, both rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, and the Thomas Wolsey Ormiston Academy rated ‘Outstanding’. Crest Nicholson will deliver a brand new primary school at Henley Gate, one of three within the wider Ipswich Garden Suburb which will also include a secondary school.

Ipswich train station is located a short drive away, providing direct links to London Liverpool Street station in just over an hour, and offers regular train services to Norwich, Colchester and Chelmsford. In addition, for those traveling by car, the A12 and A14 are easily accessible from the development.
