A downsizing event is being hosted by Castle View, the new retirement village in Windsor.
Several independent speakers will cover a range of subjects from choosing an estate agent to get your current property valued, looking at the options for a smaller more appropriate home, through to those who will look at the financial implications, and others to take care of the move, as well as auctioneers and house clearance.
Ruth Wilson, who is organising the event, said: “It’s very easy to put off the conversation about downsizing, but no matter how fit and healthy you are now, age will eventually catch-up with you and mobility could become an issue. It is all so much easier when you are that bit younger or have some assistance, so the message has to be not to put it off until it’s too late”, she adds.
