Edinburgh in Scotland has been rated as the best UK city to live as a young adult by comparethemarket.
This is based on the percentage of the population that are young adults, the rent, salary, mental well-being, 4G coverage and nightlife.
The UK’s youngest city is Manchester, where 38.57% of the population is made up of young adults.
Newcastle upon Tyne has an average monthly rent of £567, the cheapest in the study.
The UK’s best paid city is London, with a possible average salary of £47,089.
Reading has the best 4G coverage, at 93.95%.
Meanwhile Plymouth has 27 nightlife venues per 10,000 young adults.
