Property owners seeking improvements offered discounts at London show

Organisers of the three day London Lite Home Discount Show which opens at Earls Court, London, on 26 September, believe that owners who want to improve their properties whether to rent or sell will benefit from the event.

Also first time buyers who don't have a large budget once they have managed to get on the ladder could also benefit.

Just this week the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors reported that the rental market is booming as house sales diminish. Its Lettings Survey showed that new instructions to let increased at the fastest pace in the survey's history as many would-be-sellers found that becoming a landlord is a better option than selling in the current climate.

Surveyors reported that frustrated vendors have been placing their property in the market to let as they have been unable to agree sales due to a lack of demand in the housing market.

But the downturn in the economy means that many don't have the budget to furnish or improve their investments which could make the difference between selling or not, or finding good, reliable tenants.

'With the credit crunch looming people are increasingly looking for bargains and ways of reducing their expenditure without suffering. So this year's show couldn't come at a better time, offering consumers an alternative to expensive high street retailers,' said Rob Nathan, Group Marketing Manager of organisers Media 10.

The show will include the UK's largest collection of designer and high street brands from furniture, homeware, and electronics, to kitchens, bathrooms and garden products at discount prices. There will be up to 75% off some star buys.

Visitors will get exclusive access to deals from over 200 exhibitors including Samsung, Bose, Sony, Hitachi, Ercol, Loewe, G-Plan, Whirpool Baths, Stressless, Powerhouse Fitness, and Tranquility Spas.

Discounts will be available on leather sofas, oak dining sets, LG HD ready TV's, garden furniture, spas, hot tubs, kitchens, bathrooms and household goods.
