Unsurprisingly, the majority of Scotland's most expensive streets, 15 of the top 20, are located in Edinburgh. Ettrick Road in Merchiston is the second most expensive street at £1,886,000, followed by Dick Place in the Grange conservation area at £1,628,000.
Outside Edinburgh the most expensive streets are Hill Road in Gullane at £1,330,000, Rubislaw Den South in Aberdeen at £1,179,000, Countess Gate in Bothwell at £1,060,000, and Craigielaw Park in Longniddry at £1,022,000.
The research shows that there are an estimated 14 streets in Scotland with an average house price above £1 million.
Whilst Countess Gate in the suburb of Bothwell is Glasgow's most expensive street, the next two are both located west of the city in Hyndland; Kingsborough Gardens at £949,000, and Westbourne Gardens at £895,000.
Aberdeen's most expensive streets lie on the west side of the city; Rubislaw Den South at £1,179,000, followed by Rubislaw Den North at £1,086,000, and Woodlands Gardens at £896,000.
‘As the political and financial capital of Scotland, unsurprisingly the most expensive residential streets can be found in Edinburgh. The most expensive is Belmont Drive, just a short distance from Murrayfield Stadium. Across Scotland, the survey shows that the most expensive streets are tightly clustered in relatively small areas,’ said Nitesh Patel, housing economist at Bank of Scotland.
