Final homes for sale as building work finishes at canalside development in Bourne End

Construction work on an exclusive canalside development in Bourne End has now finished with just three homes left for sale.

The final properties for sale at Bellway’s 59-home Westbrook Moorings scheme in Hertfordshire are the three-bedroom Mason and four-bedroom Piper designs.

The homes are on the site of a former contractor’s yard next to the Grand Union Canal and the development has been named in honour of the area’s mooring heritage and the Westbrook Mere.

The project, which includes a landscaped village green, is just two miles from Berkhamsted and three miles from Hemel Hempstead.

The final three and four-bedroom houses at Westbrook Moorings are priced from £575,000 and £625,000 respectively. This is significantly less than property prices in Berkhamsted, where the average price for a three-bedroom house is more than £690,000 and for a four-bedroom property more than £1 million.*

All the properties still available at the development can be purchased using the developers part exchange and express mover schemes, to allow buyers a smother process when selling their previous property.

By using Bellway’s part-exchange scheme, buyers will be offered a fair price for their existing home, based upon an independent valuation, with no estate agent or advertising fees to pay. Buyers will also benefit from having no property chain and therefore no risk of the sale falling through.

Along with part exchange, Bellway is also offering their express mover scheme to buyers, allowing them to market their current home with a recommended local agent, supported by Bellway to help find a buyer as quickly as possible, with estate agent fees paid for by the developer.

Natalie said: “In addition to the incentives we have on offer, we have found that our buyers appreciate the possibility of living in a quality home that’s geared up for modern life, with all they need within easy reach, and tranquil surroundings.

“As a responsible housebuilder we want to stay ahead of the game and are doing so by taking a proactive approach to ensure environmentally friendly living is already possible on our developments. All our homes are energy efficient.”

Bellway has built 36 homes for private sale at Westbrook Moorings and 23 affordable properties for rent or shared ownership. The private homes are a range of two, three and four-bedroom houses.

Purchasers at the development are welcomed into their new homes with a bouquet from Hanako Flower Shop in nearby Berkhamsted.

The houses are all part of Bellway’s Artisan Collection which have been designed based on feedback from customers and combine traditional craftsmanship with modernconstruction techniques.
