Fine & Country expands to Stockport and Saddleworth

Premium estate agency network Fine & Country has appointed James Diggins to lead a new franchise covering Stockport and Saddleworth in Greater Manchester.

Diggins, who entered the property industry in 2001 with an independent estate agency in Ramsbottom, established his own business in 2016. The company has received multiple awards for service and communication standards.

Upper quartile market focus

The appointment comes as Diggins’ core business marks its tenth anniversary in 2026. He stated that the timing aligns with plans to expand operations in the upper quartile property sector.

“Fine & Country currently have a small number of these listings, which we aim to increase,” Diggins said. “Being close to Manchester, with its commuting connections, yet a semi-rural location, I believe this makes our region a northern hotspot.”

The expansion follows recent agency sector developments and comes amid broader network expansion activity across the UK property market.

Diggins stated the goal is to establish Fine & Country Stockport and Saddleworth as a market leader in the upper quartile segment within the region through marketing strategies and client service.

Network expansion

Nicky Stevenson, Managing Director of Fine & Country, confirmed the appointment. “We are delighted to welcome James to the network. His experience, passion for the industry and commitment to putting clients first make him a fantastic fit for the brand,” Stevenson said.

The company stated it will support the development of the Stockport and Saddleworth operation as the brand expands across the region. Fine & Country operates as a franchise network with licences covering specific geographic territories.
