First homes released for sale at new development in Stafford

The first homes on a new housing development in Stafford have been released for sale.

Vistry Group is building 350 properties under its Bovis Homes brand at Partridge Walk, off Stone Road in the Beaconside area of the town.

Partridge Walk is a joint development with Barratt Homes, which will also be delivering 350 homes on the 97-acre site. This development is part of a wider scheme to deliver 2,000 new homes in Beaconside.

The first plots at Partridge Walk went on general sale during a special event at the Moat House in Acton Trussell on Saturday 2 April, which followed a priority window given to buyers who had signed up for updates about the new homes.

Freya Halsall, marketing assistant at Vistry Mercia, said: “Partridge Walk is already proving itself to be a very popular development with house-hunters. When the first selection of homes were made available exclusively to buyers who had registered their interest in the development, 11 were immediately snapped up.

“We are building a selection of one to five-bedroom properties that will appeal to a wide range of purchasers from first-time buyers and young couples to growing families and people downsizing. The development is ideally situated in a semi-rural setting with easy access to open countryside just a short drive from the centre of Stafford and close to the M6.”

As part of the planning agreement for the development, Vistry and Barratt Homes are contributing a total of £10 million to fund local services and infrastructure.

Vistry’s share of the total is £4,801,578, with contributions including £1,489,687 towards primary school services, £1,068,256 for secondary education, and £1,898,129 towards highways and public transport.

Freya said: “This new development on the edge of Stafford is not only delivering new homes but is also bringing significant investment to the area. Vistry alone is investing almost £5 million in essential services, which will benefit both new and existing residents.

“Some of the first homes which have just been put onto the market will be completed in time for their new owners to move in by this summer. Since we launched Partridge Walk to the general public, a further seven properties have been reserved, underlining the sustained demand for new homes in this sought-after location.”

There is currently a choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes available to reserve at Partridge Walk, with prices starting from £229,995.
