The UK furlough scheme has been extended by four months to the end of October, Chancellor Rishi Sunak has announced.
Employees will continue to receive up to 80% of their monthly wages up to £2,500.
However, from August workers can return to their jobs part-time, with employers being asked to pay towards to the salaries of their furloughed staff.
The scheme is currently costing £14bn a month.
Around 7.5 million people are supported by the scheme across around 1 million companies.
