Newham-based housing company Populo Living has appointed the contractor Higgins to build 77 new homes let at London Affordable Rent at its site at Grange Road, Plaistow.
The £18m project comprises the re-development of previously derelict and vacant land to create two contemporary mansion blocks of five and six storeys. The development will include a landscaped communal garden, cycle storage and open views across the Greenway.

The homes back on to the Greenway, the 4.3 mile long raised footpath and off-road cycle route, providing links from Royal Docks Road in Beckton through to Stratford and the Olympic Park.
