Homes now on sale at first phase of major housing development in Bristol

The first homes have been released for sale at a new housing scheme being built by Bellway off Cribbs Causeway in Bristol.

The first phase of Bellway’s Berwick Green development comprises 256 homes, including 192 two, three and four-bedroom houses and two-bedroom apartments for private sale. A sales cabin is now open daily on site where people can find out more.

Berwick Green also includes 64 affordable homes available for local people through low-cost or shared ownership.

Rachel Way, Sales Manager for Bellway South West, said: “Launching sales of the first homes at Berwick Green is an important step in this major project.

“Now homebuyers interested in coming to live in this new neighbourhood can find out more about it from our sales team and begin the process of buying a fantastic new home here.

“Berwick Green gives people an opportunity to purchase a property from our Artisan Collection, which offers a range of spacious house styles that were created based on feedback from homebuyers – so their designs have been guided by what people really want from and enjoy in a new home.

“This development will I’m sure prove popular as it is in an excellent location, only six miles from Bristol city centre and within easy reach of transport connections such as the M5 and Bristol Parkway railway station. It’s perfect for commuters and all who want to make the most of this vibrant city.

“In addition, the scheme is not far from The Mall at Cribbs Causeway with all the shopping, dining and entertainment that it offers, so there is plenty here to make life enjoyable.

“There is high demand for new housing in this area and we are contributing a significant number of high-quality new homes to meet this need. Berwick Green will transform the area by creating a sustainable and thriving community as well as providing significant investment in local services.”

A planning application has been submitted to South Gloucestershire Council for the second phase of the Bellway scheme, which includes another 153 homes made up of 112 private and 41 affordable properties.

Berwick Green is part of a much wider project that Bellway is creating with fellow developer Taylor Wimpey and these plans are expected to bring 760 new homes to the area.

And this wider project will bring with it an investment of £12.5 million in local infrastructure, including education and roads, from developer contributions linked to planning agreements.

The first homes for sale at Berwick Green include the two-bed Cooper, three bed Turner and Shipwright and the four-bed Cartwright, with prices starting from £345,000.
