Knight Frank launches the first phase of eco-friendly homes in Cirencester

Knight Frank has been appointed by regional developer HarperCrewe as the sole sales agent on The Steadings – a sustainable new homes scheme located on the Bathurst Estate in Cirencester.

Launching this September, the first phase of The Steadings will comprise 68 one-, two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes. Inspired by the strong architectural style of the Cotswolds, the homes have been carefully designed to complement the local heritage of the site.

Fusing traditional and contemporary design, the homes feature gabled roofs, rubble stone walls and natural stone slates with bright rooms and open plan living spaces. Internally, several luxury finishes from Country Contemporary, Urban or Natura are available for residents to personalise their homes to their desired taste.

Sustainability is at the forefront of The Steadings’ ethos. All of the homes include several market-leading eco credentials that exceed the new Future Homes Standards. Air source heat pumps, wastewater heat recovery, improved wall insulation, and electric car charging will be included as standard to help residents lead more sustainable lifestyles and benefit from lower running costs. The homes at The Steadings will also qualify for lower-rate green mortgages.

Situated on the doorstep of The Steadings is Cirencester, also known as the ‘Capital of the Cotswolds’. Proximity to the city will provide residents with the best of rural English living with several traditional and boutique retail stores and restaurants. The area also encompasses many highly regarded primary and secondary schools, ideal for families.

Cirencester is well connected with other big cities such as Bristol and Oxford, which are both just over an hour away. London Paddington can be reacheded within 90 minutes from Kemble train station, 6 miles away with services additional services to Swindon and Cheltenham.

Loubelle Fleming, Sales and Marketing Director at HarperCrewe, said: ““Our new homes at The Steadings have been designed with future-proofing at the forefront. Our dedication to placemaking  and close collaboration with The Bathurst Estate  has resulted in a neighbourhood centred around sustainability, community and is a reflection of the rich heritage of The Cotswolds.”

Sarah McKinnon, Head of the Cheltenham New Homes team, said: “HarperCrewe is committed to creating highly efficient homes designed for a sustaible lifestyle – something which is a growing priority for new home buyers. We expect The Steadings to be hugely popular with buyers wanting to live in the beautiful Costwolds.”
