New apartments launched at Towcester development with houses all sold out

A selection of new apartments have been released onto the market at a Towcester housing development, with houses on the site all sold out.

Bellway has launched the 14 apartments in a new phase of its Farriers Court development, off Burcote Road, where construction work on the initial phase of 90 houses is nearing completion.

The two-bedroom apartments are being built on land to the west of the existing development, and will comprise eight homes for private sale as well as six affordable homes.

This final phase of homes at Farriers Court will bring the total number of properties being delivered at the development to 104. Bellway began construction work on the site in 2019, and all 90 houses within the initial phase are nearing completion.

Bellway has begun construction work on the new apartments, with the properties set to be completed in January 2023.

Elaine Brown, Sales Director at Bellway South Midlands, said: “Homes on this new phase of apartments will offer first-time buyers the opportunity to purchase under the Help to Buy scheme, which comes to an end in October.

“Help to Buy will allow those looking at the apartments at Farriers Court to buy a new-build home with a five per cent deposit and a 75 per cent mortgage. The remaining 20 per cent is provided in the form of an equity loan from the Government, which is interest free for the first five years of homeownership.

“The development has made a significant contribution towards meeting the growing demand for high-quality new homes in south Northamptonshire, and these apartments will cater for the needs of first-time buyers, couples and single people in particular.

“Farriers Court is conveniently located just a short walk from Towcester town centre, making it particularly attractive to families and downsizers who don’t want to rely on a car to access shops and other services. The good transport links have been a big draw for commuters, who can reach Milton Keynes and Northampton in under 30 minutes by road.”

As part of the planning agreement for Farriers Court, Bellway is providing funding of over £600,000 towards local services and infrastructure, including contributions to primary and secondary education, public transport, and sports and recreational facilities.

A selection of one and two-bedroom apartments are currently available at Farriers Court, with prices starting from £200,000.
