Bellway is celebrating five years since the first residents moved in at its Sheasby Park development in Fradley, where almost three-quarters of the homes have now been built.
The housebuilder is delivering a total of 624 properties at the site off Common Lane, including 538 for private sale and 86 affordable homes for rent or shared ownership.
Building work began in 2016 and the keys to the first homes were handed over to their new owners in May 2017. A total of 347 homes have now been completed at Sheasby Park.
Marie Richards, Sales Director for Bellway West Midlands, said: “The fifth anniversary of the first residents arriving at Sheasby Park is a chance for us to reflect on what has been a consistently popular development with local buyers during the past five years.
“The mix of two to five-bedroom homes has ensured the development appeals to buyers with a range of different needs and budgets, from those taking their first steps onto the property ladder to growing families. There’s been particularly strong interest from people looking to upsize into a larger home, including many families attracted by the wide choice of well-regarded schools in the area, such as St. Stephen’s Primary which is around a 20-minute walk away from the site.
“The large area of landscaped public open space provided within the development has been a significant draw for buyers, while the semi-rural village location has also been a key factor in the site’s popularity.
“Situated just four miles north of Lichfield, Sheasby Park has attracted a number of buyers from the Burton area wanting to move closer to Staffordshire’s cathedral city and be within easier commuting distance of Birmingham. A strong and thriving community is taking shape at Sheasby Park, where almost three-quarters of the homes are now occupied.
“There are now only 12 houses yet to be bought in phase two, and we will be launching the third phase of 237 homes at Sheasby Park towards the end of this year.”
