New homes coming to Ipswich

Bellway has unveiled two new showhomes at Ridley’s Orchard, a new development on the outskirts of Ipswich.

The company is building 190 homes at the site off Old Norwich Road in Whitton.

Each of the homes is from Bellway’s Artisan Collection, a flagship range of designs bringing together modern techniques and traditional craftsmanship.

The three-bedroom detached showhome, known as The Tailor, and the four-bedroom detached showhome, The Silversmith, are now open for home-hunters to view.

Bellway is building 123 homes for private sale at Ridley’s Orchard, featuring a range of two to four-bedroom houses.

There will also be 67 affordable homes, to be made available to local people through shared ownership or low-cost rent.

The development will span more than 25 acres, with a large open space and play area being provided to the south of the site.

The Tailor showhome comes with an open-plan kitchen and a dining area that is separated from the living room. It includes a modern family bathroom as well as an en suite in one of its three bedrooms. The French doors in the dining area open onto the rear garden.

The Silversmith has two sets of French doors with one located in the living room and the other leading to the garden from the family area indoors. It also boasts a formal dual-aspectdining room, a family bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen.

Construction work at the site began last summer and the first homes are due to be completed by the end of this summer.
