Homebuyers will be able to get their first look inside one of the new apartments being built at Bellway’s Lucas Green development in Shirley, near Solihull, from this month (February).
The housebuilder is opening a two-bedroom show apartment at the development, which is taking shape on the former Lucas Engineering site off Dog Kennel Lane, in February.
The Doveridge show apartment will complement the two existing showhomes at Lucas Green which were unveiled when the sales office opened to the public in August last year.
Marie Richards, Sales Director at Bellway West Midlands, said: “This will be the first opportunity for visitors at Lucas Green to view one of the apartments, which account for just over half of the homes being built at this highly sought-after development.
“The Doveridge will showcase the spacious open-plan layouts and high specification of the range of two-bedroom apartments at Lucas Green, which have already generated lots of enquiries from potential buyers. Due to the high level of demand for these properties, we released the first apartments onto the market two months ahead of schedule just before Christmas.
“The development’s excellent road and rail links to Birmingham make Lucas Green a big draw for commuters, and we are seeing lots of interest from young professionals working in the city who are attracted by the lifestyle these modern apartments offer. With the area set to be served by HS2 in the shape of the new Birmingham Interchange station just a 15-minute drive from Lucas Green, the development also represents good investment potential.
“As well as apartments, we are providing a mix of houses suitable for first-time buyers, growing families and downsizers at Lucas Green, from two-bedroom terrace properties to three-storey, four-bedroom homes. With the opening of our third showhome at the development, buyers will be able to see the full spectrum of two, three and four-bedroom homes being delivered at the site.”
Bellway is building 76 homes at Lucas Green, comprising 37 houses and 39 apartments. There will be 59 properties for private sale and 17 affordable homes available to local people through rent or shared ownership. The development is part of a wider scheme of 260 homes being delivered on the former Lucas Engineering site.
The three-bedroom Shipwright and four-bedroom Gilder showhomes are open for viewings seven days a week.
A selection of apartments and two and three-bedroom houses are currently available, with prices ranging from £239,500 to £439,995.
