New showhome opens at Wingate development

Bellway Durham has unveiled a new showhome at Wellfield Rise after requests from customers.
The housebuilder has thrown open the doors to a three-bedroom Turner at the Wingate development following interest from prospective purchasers keen to view the distinctive layout of the property.
Bellway is building 250 homes, featuring a mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses for sale, at the site off Wellfield Road.
The Turner features an open-plan living/dining area with French doors to the garden, a separate kitchen and a cloakroom. Upstairs, the main bedroom has an en suite while there are two further bedrooms and a family bathroom.
In a twist on more conventional layouts, the kitchen is located at the front of the house, with the living and dining space towards the rear.
Hayley Teasdale, Sales Manager at Bellway Durham, said: “Wellfield Rise is a much sought-after development and the three-bedroom Turner is one of one the most popular house types on the site.
“We have had so many requests about the Turner that we decided to open a showhome so that prospective purchasers can come along and see for themselves just how it would look to live in the completed property. The downstairs of the home was the main focus of attention with customers, so we asked our interior designers to concentrate their efforts on dressing that part of the house.
“The Turner has the ideal layout for the modern family. As you step through the front door the sizeable kitchen and downstairs cloakroom are situated just off the entrance hall. Taking up a large part of the back of the property is the spacious living/dining area which is flooded with natural light through a projected bay window with French doors out onto the rear garden.”
Various schemes are available to help buyers secure a new home at Wellfield Rise, such Deposit Unlock, Part Exchange and Express Mover.
Hayley said: “Deposit Unlock enables housebuyers to purchase a home with a five per cent deposit. The initiative, which was created by the Home Builders Federation (HBF), is currently available on new-build homes in the North East worth up to £330,000.
“Under the Express Mover scheme, we will liaise with a local estate agent to agree a valuation for the customer’s existing home and find a buyer quickly. Bellway will pay the agent’s fees and work with them until the sale is completed.
“With Part Exchange we offer customers a fair price on their existing property, based on independent valuations. They are then free to move into their brand-new home without worrying about selling their old home or becoming involved in a lengthy buying chain. Buyers will also benefit from saving money on estate agent fees.
“At the moment, a limited number of properties are available to buy at the development. More new homes will come onto the market this summer but we would recommend that anyone interested in securing a property at Wellfield Rise contact us as soon as they can because demand remains high.”
Visitors to Wellfield Rise can also visit two other showhomes at the development – the four-bedroom Scrivener and the three-bedroom Sawyer.
There is currently a selection of three-bedroom homes available to reserve at Wellfield Rise, with prices starting at £162,995. Among these are two Turner houses, both priced at £179,995.
