Rightmove has reported a 9% increase in revenue to £425.1m for 2025, driven by estate agents upgrading to higher-tier subscription packages and purchasing additional products, according to the property portal’s annual financial results.
Chief Executive Johan Svanstrom stated that the figures demonstrate “the high quality and sustained usage of the Rightmove platform in all property market cycles.”
Agency spending patterns
Average revenue per advertiser increased by 6% overall, with agency ARPA reaching £1,530 per month. The growth was attributed to agents and developers upgrading packages, adding features, and increasing product usage.
Agency branch membership rose 2% to 16,385, contributing to a 1% increase in total membership. Retention among agency partners remained above 90%, marking the second-highest level in more than a decade.
Data shows that 35% of independent agents now subscribe to Optimiser Edge, the portal’s top-tier estate agency package. More than half of independent agents purchased products beyond their package commitments, contributing to ARPA growth.
Product development and user engagement
Rightmove identified its Online Agent Valuation tool as its fastest-growing product launch to date. The company has also developed a conversational search tool in collaboration with Google Cloud and plans to launch an application within ChatGPT.
Consumer engagement metrics showed 16.8 billion minutes spent on the platform during the year, with more than 85% of traffic arriving directly or organically.
Market outlook
Despite speculation regarding Rightmove’s position in the FTSE 100, the company has forecast revenue growth of 8-10% for 2026, based on continued package upgrades and product-led growth strategies.
The financial results indicate sustained demand for property portal services among UK estate agents, despite broader market fluctuations in the housing sector.
