Former Knight Frank partners establish Stratford agency

Two former Knight Frank partners have established an independent estate agency in Stratford-upon-Avon, focusing on residential development land and new homes sales.

Jonny Wish and Chris Priestley have launched Priestley Wish, structured into two divisions: New Homes & Residential Sales, led by Priestley, and Land & Development, led by Wish. The agency will cover the development process from land acquisition and planning through to marketing and part-exchange arrangements.

The founders bring more than 40 years’ combined experience advising landowners, housebuilders and investors across central England and other parts of the UK. The agency has opened with an existing client base from the partners’ previous work in the region.

Market context

The launch comes as the residential development sector operates within a complex planning environment alongside changing housing market conditions. The broader UK property sector has seen shifting mortgage conditions impact development activity, whilst upcoming tax changes continue to influence investor decisions.

Wish said: “Developers and landowners need advisors who are fully immersed in this sector. By creating a business focused heavily on residential land and new homes, we can provide more joined-up, commercially focused advice at every stage of the planning and development process.”

He added that Knight Frank had provided “opportunities and experience” over the past decade that had been “formative” in shaping the new venture.

Priestley stated the agency would offer “a more focused, personalised and agile approach tailored to today’s evolving development landscape” with “independence and complete clarity of focus”.

The agency plans to expand its activity over time from its Stratford-upon-Avon base, serving landowners and developers across the central England region.
