London-based real estate brokerage Harding Green has appointed Olivia Highwood as lettings operations director, whilst housebuilder Bellway has named Patrick Swallow as strategic land and planning manager for its Manchester region.
Highwood brings over ten years of experience in the lettings sector, having most recently served as head of lettings and property management at LCP Private Office. Her appointment comes as Harding Green expands its operations in the capital’s competitive lettings market.
Lettings sector expansion
The move reflects continued activity in London’s lettings market, where international buyers have maintained a strong presence in recent months. Harding Green CEO Nick Carter stated that Highwood’s operational experience would strengthen the firm’s lettings business as it scales up operations.
Highwood will be responsible for operational strategy across the lettings division, working with partners to support growth objectives. She has worked for both estate agencies and a property investment company during her career in the sector.
Housebuilder strengthens land team
At Bellway, Swallow joined the company in May and is based at the Manchester division’s regional head office in Warrington. He brings three-and-a-half years of experience across planning and land acquisition teams.
His role encompasses both land acquisition and managing sites through the planning process, including applications and determinations. Swallow holds a degree in marketing and management and a master’s in planning from Newcastle University.
The Manchester region has seen sustained housebuilding activity, with housing policy remaining a focus for government. Swallow, who is from Macclesfield, previously worked in Congleton before joining Bellway.
Both appointments reflect ongoing recruitment activity in the property sector, with firms strengthening operational teams across lettings and development functions. The moves come as the industry navigates changing market conditions and regulatory requirements.
