Seminar on Economic Growth and Development in the Midlands to Run on 9 June

A Midlands-based seminar looking at economic growth and development in that UK region is to be held online on 9 June.

The event, titled ‘Next steps for economic growth in the Midlands’, will be held in the morning, starting at 08.30, is to be hosted by the Westminster Social Policy Forum.

According to the organisers, the discussion will focus on improving infrastructure, ensuring balanced growth, and securing regional recovery from the pandemic, as well as progress being made by the Midlands Engine.

The seminar will be chaired by MPs Jack Dromey and Darren Henry. The speakers will include Nick Abell, chair of Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership.
