Work progressing well at Kingfisher Green in Rainham

Building work is progressing well at Bellway’s Kingfisher Green development in Rainham, where 17 homes have now been sold off plan.

The first homes at the development, off Lower Rainham Road, were released for sale earlier this year, with interest already running extremely high.

Bellway is building 79 homes at Kingfisher Green, with 59 three and four-bedroom houses for private sale and 20 affordable homes available for local people through rent or shared ownership.

A showhome and sales centre are due to open at the development on Saturday 9 July, with the first homes set to be ready to move into during the Autumn of this year.

Mark Harrop, Sales Director for Bellway Kent, said: “We are pleased with the progression of Kingfisher Green so far, with the first properties being snapped up before any homes have been built and before we have even opened the showhome.

“We launched the site from a sales cabin in February and with construction well underway, we look forward to welcoming visitors to our four-bedroom Bowyer showhome in July, which will give buyers a real insight into what it would be like to live in one of our high-quality new-build properties here.”

The four-bedroom Bowyer is a double-fronted detached property with an open-plan kitchen, family and dining room opening through French doors to the garden, plus a separate dual-aspect living room and a utility room. The upstairs of the property features the master bedroom with en suite shower room, three further good-sized bedrooms and a modern family bathroom.

All properties at Kingfisher Green are part of the Artisan Collection – Bellway’s flagship range of homes, created from years of customer feedback. All the house types are named after artisan trades.

Mark continued: “Kingfisher Green is positioned next to Berengrave Nature Reserve, which was formerly a chalk quarry. This site was transformed into the wildlife haven we see today, with a lake and paths that take you through the woodland and glades. This reserve, as well as nearby Bloors Wharf and Riverside Country Park, is a real selling point for buyers, as it is such a picturesque location.

“This is an ideal setting for buyers who enjoy the great outdoors and want to get a little closer to nature, while also being close to local shops, schools and services.”

Bellway is investing more than £800,000 in financial contributions to local public services in Rainham as part of the planning agreement for the development. The money will be used to maintain and improve a range of facilities, including schools, roads and open space used by local people.

There is currently a range of three and four-bedroom homes for sale at Kingfisher Green, with prices starting from £402,995.
