Work starts on final homes at Wokingham development

Construction work is underway on the final phase of new homes at Vistry Group’s Copsewood development in Wokingham.

The final phase at the site will deliver 19 new homes and marks the end of Linden Homes’ contribution to the redevelopment of land at Matthewsgreen Farm, off Toutley Road.

Vistry is building a total of 771 homes at the site of Toutley Road at Linden Homes’ Copsewood as well as Bovis Homes’ Emmbrook Place.

Alix Laflin, marketing manager for Vistry Thames Valley, said: “Copsewood is a fantastic new development that is bringing much-needed new homes to the area as part of the North Wokingham Strategic Development Location, while also protecting green open space.

“As part of the development, Vistry has undertaken extensive landscaping works, creating new public open space, with wildflower meadow planting, new trees and hedgerows along the site boundary and a new feature oak tree in the northern part of Copsewood.

“The wider development has also seen the creation of Old Forest Road Sustainable Alternative Natural Greenspace for the provision of wildlife habitats and the enjoyment of local people.”

Building work at Copsewood started in 2017 and the development is a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, set alongside public open space.

There’s currently a choice of four-bedroom houses available to reserve at Copsewood, with prices starting from £532,500.
