Golf on eBay

A fabulous charity auction is now live on eBay, which will give a lucky bidder the opportunity to win two places on a star-studded golf team and play along side famous faces, on one of the Costa del Sol's most prestigious golf resorts.

As one of the key sponsors of the 2008 fund-raising event in Spain, property investment company, Obelisk are giving up two of their own golf places, specifically for this auction, in a bid to raise as much money as possible for UK charity, The Rhys Daniels Trust.

The 14-day charity auction, to play in The Max Clifford Charity Golf Challenge, is due to close 25th May at 18:30 GMT and is expected to be fiercely contended for by keen golfers, football fans and TV celebrity followers alike.

The eBay winner, golfing buddy PLUS their partners will be flown to the sunny Costa del Sol in Spain for a 3 night star-studded weekend in the lap of luxury. All flights, two full days of golf and entertainment in the evening are all included, along with tickets to the Butterfly Ball in the cosmopolitan coastal resort of Marbella.

All funds raised through this eBay auction will help towards the Trust’s new projects to provide invaluable accommodation to support hospitals around the UK, which house specialist children's units. 

This ultimate celebrity golf challenge is a once in a lifetime chance to play against famous TV stars and legendary footballers from clubs including Manchester United, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton.

Obelisk has remained tight lipped on the complete celebrity list, which should create added excitement and will only be revealed to the lucky eBay winner after the auction. Players will feature in a SKY Sports one-hour golf special. 

The Rhys Daniels Trust helps families stay together when a child needs medical care by providing a 'Home from Home' for those who live far from the hospital that is treating their child. All funds raised through this auction will help towards the Trust's latest projects, which will provide accommodation to support the Southampton General Hospital and the Princess Anne Neonatal Unit in Southampton.
