Dwelly acquires Stamford lettings firm in second 2026 deal

PropTech platform Dwelly has acquired Goodwin Property Services, a Stamford-based lettings and sales agency, marking its second acquisition of 2026 as the firm continues its expansion across the UK lettings market.

Goodwin Property Services manages approximately 330 rental properties and operates a residential sales division. Founder Simon Burton will remain involved with the business following its integration into the Dwelly Group.

Funding and growth trajectory

The acquisition comes as Dwelly has secured £69 million in new funding to support further acquisitions and expand its AI-powered operating platform. The company has completed eight acquisitions in under a year, bringing its total portfolio to over 10,000 managed properties.

This portfolio size positions Dwelly among the UK’s 15 largest letting agents by property count. The firm’s business model centres on acquiring independent agencies and integrating its AI system to digitise rent collection, maintenance operations, and tenant-landlord matching processes.

Local market continuity

Burton stated: “Providing a great service to landlords and home sellers across Stamford and the wider area has always been our key focus at Goodwin, and it’s something that’s shaped the business from the very beginning. This core identity was something I simply wasn’t willing to compromise on and, from the outset, it was clear that Dwelly places real importance on maintaining the DNA of the businesses they acquire, whilst introducing the technology and operational support that helps them continue to evolve.”

Sam Humphries, head of M&A at Dwelly, said: “Goodwin is a business that has earned a reputation within its local market, built on consistently delivering for its landlords and home sellers over many years. Those are the kinds of foundations we look for when bringing a business into the Dwelly Group.”

The acquisition follows Dwelly’s first purchase of 2026 and builds on growth achieved during 2025. The company’s strategy focuses on expanding its national footprint whilst maintaining the local identity of acquired businesses.
