Scottish property consultancy Galbraith has appointed two directors to its residential agency and rural teams as part of a restructuring that includes 14 internal promotions across the business.
Nick Ainscough, based in Perth, and Alice Wilson, based in Ayr, have been promoted to director level, with responsibilities spanning both agency and rural property disciplines. The appointments form part of a wider strategic move to integrate residential and rural property services across Scotland and northern England.
Wider restructure underway
Martin Cassels, Chief Executive at Galbraith, said the promotions reflect investment in “strategic areas such as our rural business stream, commercial property and building consultancy.”
The firm has made additional appointments within its estate agency and lettings operations. Susan Guthrie, who manages estate agency and property lettings in the Scottish Borders, has been promoted to Senior Associate, while Janet Birkett has moved from the Edinburgh office to become Senior Lettings Negotiator in Kelso.
Six of eight new associate-level promotions have been made within the rural team: Alistair Torrance, Edward Fletcher, Georgina Weston, Joey Dunn, Megan Proctor and Rose Nash. The restructure also extends to commercial, forestry, surveying and business support divisions.
Market context
The expansion of Galbraith’s agency teams comes as estate agency roles continue to evolve within the sector. The firm’s focus on integrating residential and rural property advice reflects a client-facing strategy aimed at providing coordinated services across multiple property types.
The appointments indicate Galbraith’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the Scottish property market, where it operates multiple offices across residential, rural and commercial sectors. The firm’s approach to property transactions emphasises joined-up advisory services spanning different property disciplines.
Galbraith operates offices throughout Scotland and in northern England, providing services including estate agency, lettings, rural property sales, commercial property and land management.
