Student accommodation platform UniHomes has recorded a Net Promoter Score of +61 in its 2026 annual survey of more than 100 letting agents across the UK, placing it among the highest-rated providers in the student accommodation sector.
The score, which measures customer likelihood to recommend a service, saw 70% of surveyed agents rate the platform 9 or 10 out of 10. Industry benchmarks typically consider any NPS above +50 as indicative of strong performance.
Enquiry generation drives agent satisfaction
According to the survey results, 71% of agents identified enquiry generation as the most important benefit of using the platform. UniHomes reports that over 2 million students use its service annually to search for accommodation, with all listed properties including bills in the rental price.
The bills-inclusive model covers gas, electricity, water and broadband in a single monthly payment, addressing student demand for budget certainty. This approach appears to be gaining traction across the sector, with agents reporting that all-inclusive packages help properties let faster.
Satisfaction scores across seven service areas all exceeded 80%, with onboarding and speed of setup rated highest at 90%, followed by account management and support at 88%, and the utility offering at 87%.
Market context
The student accommodation sector continues to evolve as property enquiry data reveals industry gaps in service delivery. UniHomes operates across more than 60 UK cities, working with hundreds of letting agent partners to list student properties.
James Toogood, Head of Client Relationships at UniHomes, said: “UniHomes is fundamentally built on our relationships with our partner agents, and those relationships allow us to deliver a truly stress-free experience for students. This feedback tells us is that those partnerships are stronger today than they’ve ever been.”
Survey responses from agents included feedback on lead quality and platform efficiency. LCJ Properties in Swansea noted the platform “generates a large number of enquiries”, while Yetholm Properties in Newcastle cited “successful leads, efficient bills packages and excellent support”.
Sector outlook
The platform’s performance comes as the broader property sector adapts to changing tenant expectations. While development finance continues to flow into housing schemes, the student accommodation market faces distinct pressures around affordability and service delivery.
The bills-inclusive model addresses budgeting concerns among students, who face multiple financial pressures when moving away from home. UniHomes has operated in the student accommodation sector for over a decade, positioning itself around this single-payment approach.
The company has indicated it will continue to expand its agent partnership network, though specific growth targets were not disclosed in the survey results.
