Integration capabilities are becoming a critical factor for estate agencies when selecting customer relationship management (CRM) systems, with 39% of agents identifying integrations as a major frustration with current suppliers, according to data from Kerfuffle.
The property technology company has launched an integrations directory featuring 309 integration partners, alongside its 2026 CRM Guide, to address what has consistently ranked in the top three issues for agents over recent years.
Variation in integration quality
Simon Whale of Kerfuffle highlighted that not all integrations function at the same level. Whilst suppliers may indicate compatibility with specific tools, the quality ranges from deep, two-way native integrations to basic email transfers between systems.
“For an agent trying to decide whether their entire tech stack will survive a CRM change, they are obviously not the same thing,” Whale stated in the company’s analysis.
The directory allows users to search by specific tools to identify compatible CRMs, or to start with a CRM and view available integration partners. A rating feature has been added to enable agents to provide feedback on real-world performance of integrations.
CRM Matcher tool launched
Kerfuffle has also introduced a free CRM Matcher service designed to streamline the selection process. Agencies input their current CRM, essential existing tools, and required integrations. The system then generates a shortlist of three to five CRM options based on compatibility with the agency’s existing technology infrastructure.
The service aims to reduce the time agencies spend evaluating systems before arranging demonstrations with suppliers. As agencies continue to expand and modernise their operations, the ability to maintain existing technology ecosystems during CRM transitions has become increasingly important.
Estate agencies typically require integrations with valuations tools, inventory applications, compliance systems, accounting software, social media platforms such as Facebook Lead Ads, financial software including Xero, and property portals like Rightmove and Zoopla.
Industry input requested
The directory relies on user feedback to maintain accuracy. Kerfuffle has requested that agents rate integrations they currently use and that suppliers verify listed information or report omissions.
The company plans to expand the platform beyond CRM integrations, reflecting what it describes as a growing industry focus on functional compatibility rather than simply claimed integration capabilities.
The development comes as the property sector faces ongoing challenges with technology adoption and efficiency. While some agencies have struggled with technology-led business models, the demand for integrated systems that support traditional agency operations continues to grow.
The integration directory and CRM Matcher are available through Kerfuffle’s Compare the Proptech platform, with the company positioning the tools as resources for agencies undertaking CRM replacement decisions in 2026.
