Five isolated rural properties listed across England and Wales

Five properties located in isolated rural settings across England and Wales have come to market, ranging from a renovation project at £195,000 to period homes priced up to £895,000.

The listings highlight ongoing activity in the rural property sector, despite recent challenges in mortgage approvals affecting the broader market.

Flintshire and Worcestershire listings

In Lixwm, Flintshire, Plas Coch is a five-bedroom house built in the 1700s, situated on 11.87 acres with outbuildings. The property has been in the same family for 60 years and is listed at £850,000 through Jackson-Stops.

In Alfrick Pound, Worcestershire, a Grade II-listed farmhouse with exposed structural timber features sits on a plot including gardens and paddock near Malvern Hills National Landscape. The four-bedroom property is marketed at £895,000 through Morgan Aps.

Yorkshire and Dorset properties

Washfold House in Hurst, Yorkshire, is a Grade II-listed property that has undergone renovation whilst retaining period features including exposed beams and cast-iron fireplaces. The three-bedroom home with gardens and beck access is priced at £850,000 through Fine & Country.

A semi-derelict two-bedroom cottage in Creech, Dorset, is scheduled for auction on 20 November with a guide price of £195,000. The property is described as being in poor structural condition and requiring complete renovation. It is located four miles from Kimmeridge Bay in the Isle of Purbeck area of outstanding natural beauty.

Welsh borders property

In Llansilin, Powys, a 17th-century Grade II-listed stone cottage with two bedrooms plus annexe is listed at £595,000 through Inigo. The property sits on the edge of the village, six miles west of Oswestry.

The listings come as the UK property market demonstrates resilience in certain segments, with rural properties continuing to attract buyer interest despite broader market headwinds.
