Cluttons bolsters Middle East presence

Commenting on the restructuring, Bill Siegle, senior partner designate said, "If we have learned anything from the last few weeks and months it is that we ignore the importance of the petrodollar and the rise of the sovereign wealth funds at our peril.  It is vitally important for our business and economy as a whole that we retain a strong and lasting presence in the Middle East.  To fail to do so would be both short-sighted and insular in my judgement."

In a further strengthening of the region Tim Glover, partner and formerly head of residential valuation and investment in the UK has been appointed head of Bahrain.

Commenting on Tim Glover's appointment, Paul Chilton, managing partner designate said, "Tim is a highly experienced chartered surveyor with a broad commercial and residential background. He has been involved in valuing and advising on numerous residential investment portfolios and large development sites as well as valuing and providing consultancy on super prime London apartments and houses.  His appointment will significantly augment and bolster our Middle East presence, which will soon be further enhanced by new offices in Abu Dhabi and Qatar, a new sales office in Dubai and a residential sales office in Oman."

Cluttons first established a presence in the Middle East in 1976, making it the longest established UK chartered surveying practice in the region.

Over those thirty years Cluttons has gone on to create a strong real estate presence in the Middle East, with offices in Bahrain, Dubai, Sharjah, Oman and Jeddah, and has been involved with some of the key real estate and infrastructure development projects in the region, including the Almoayyed Tower in Bahrain, the Pearl in Qatar and Kingdom Centre in Riyadh.

Cluttons will be exhibiting at Cityscape Dubai, the world's largest real estate investment and development event between 6 to 9 October 2008.
