Goodman changes in Czech Republic and Slovakia

Valérie Vanbiervliet, Regional Director Central Europe, said the appointment reflects Goodman’s growth plans in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, which are in line with the strong increase in the Group’s recent activity in Poland.

“I am confident that with Jakub’s appointment we will boost our development activities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Our presence in central Europe demonstrates our strong own, develop, manage business model. We have 125,000 square meters of new developments currently under construction in Poland and we have just delivered a 21,000 square meters industrial facility near Košice Airport in Slovakia.

"In addition, we have recently signed new lease agreements in both Slovakia and the Czech Republic. As a result of this latest deal our entire Central Europe portfolio is now 100% leased,” he added.

Gefco Česká republika will lease 8,293 square meters of warehouse, mezzanine and office space at Goodman’s logistics centre in Jažlovice, just outside Prague. The Jažlovice Logistics Centre comprises a total of 25,000 square meters of warehouse space. It is strategically located in a prominent logistics hub at the crossroads of the Prague by-pass and the D1 motorway.

“Jažlovice Logistics Centre has excellent visibility and access, not to mention the huge advantage of being located in close proximity to Prague. We are very pleased with our new lease, and Goodman’s customer-focused approach ensures that all our requirements will be met. The facilities at the Jažlovice Logistics Centre are of an exceptionally high quality, and provide the flexibility to cater for our company’s further expansion,” said Vanbiervlie.t

“What’s more, the logistics centre is situated close to our current headquarters,” said Petra Lippertová, OVL & Logistics Manager, Gefco Česká republika.

Goodman has previously provided real-estate-related services to Gefco elsewhere in Europe including in Poland. The agreement was advised by Cushman & Wakefield.

“Since it related to the leasing of an existing facility, we based our offer for Gefco on a fast and flexible approach, excellent management and services,” said Vanbiervliet.
