Emaar Hospitality Group appoints Patrick Heuze

Mr Heuze is mandated to expand the group’s businesses and align its global growth goals with the overall vision of Emaar Properties to become one of the most valuable companies in the world by 2010. He will select and evaluate potential business partners and third-party operators to work with Emaar Hospitality Group.

Mr Heuze will continue to oversee the day-to-day management of the Nuran Serviced Residences; Hayya! recreation clubs; Arabian Ranches Golf Club; The Montgomerie, Dubai; Dubai Polo and Equestrian Club; Dubai Marina Yacht Club; and Al Manzil, Qamardeen and The Palace, The Old Town hotels apart from Emaar Hospitality’s international projects.

Mr Marc Dardenne, Chief Executive Officer, Emaar Hospitality Group, said: "Emaar Hospitality Group is fast consolidating its diverse portfolio in the UAE and expanding to new markets in line with the overall geographic expansion of Emaar Properties. With his international experience and breadth of expertise, Patrick will work to further building the Emaar Hospitality roster and giving it a distinct identity globally."

Mr Heuze said: "Emaar has an established presence in 36 markets and logically Emaar Hospitality Group will expand our reach to these destinations. In taking the group to an international audience, it is important to have reliable partners who are aligned with our overall operational and development ethos. This will be one of the thrust areas for Emaar in the coming months, apart from consolidating our existing businesses."

A French national, Mr Heuze has several years of international experience, having worked with renowned hotel groups in the Maldives, Thailand, Cameroon, Hong Kong and Japan. He holds a Hotel Management Degree from the Bordeaux Hotel School and graduated in the General Managers Program at Cornell University.

Emaar Hospitality Group has total assets with a development value of over US$1 billion (AED 3.67 billion), and recently unveiled The Address Hotels & Resorts, a five star premium hotel brand that will open its first properties in Dubai – The Address, Downtown Burj Dubai; The Address, Dubai Mall and The Address, Dubai Marina – later this year.
