James Hamand joins Hamptons International from Cluttons where he spent six years in the residential professional division and developed his specialism in leasehold enfranchisement. As Associate Director at Hamptons International, James will be responsible for setting up and growing a department within the Valuation team which offers advice on lease extensions and freehold purchases. He will report directly to Head of Valuation, Nigel Macdonald.
Commenting on his appointment, James Hamand said:

With leases in many parts of central London becoming prohibitively short from a buyers perspective, the market for leasehold enfranchisement advice is as active as ever and so the opportunities for me to work alongside the sales and lettings departments at Hamptons International are huge. We look forward to finding ways to secure the best possible deal for Hamptons International’s clients.”
Peter Kaisary has joined the Valuation division as Graduate Valuation Surveyor. Peter previously spent time at investment agencies Portman Heritage and Minc Property where he developed a deep understanding of the residential property market in London. He graduated from University College London with a Masters in European Planning and Property Development in 2006. Peter will assist with valuation reports, inspections and surveys and will report into Jonathan Godfrey, Director.

The launch of the Valuation division in February this year marked the first phase of a longer-term business diversification strategy to successfully broaden the professional services offered by Hamptons International, both in the UK and overseas. Since then, Hamptons International has hired an affordable housing expert, James Brown and has expanded its New Homes offering with the appointment of James Murphy.
